My Everyday Carry 2022 (EDC)

It's labor day so I wanted to take it a little easier, and being that I like E.D.C. or Everyday Carry, I figured I'd update my EDC on this channel. After all, the last time I uploaded this type of video on this channel was 5 years ago. This is not an audio related video it's about what I use on a daily basis and why I use each item.

Audio Technica AT4033a Review / Test

Today I review the Audio Technica AT4033a which is a somewhat unexciting microphone, but a nice sounding microphone. It's a more midforward sounding mic compared to other AT mics I've used and has a less dominant top end but it does suffer from sibilance and have a self noise of 17dBa.

Rodecaster Pro II Review / Walkthrough / Explained

Today I walkthrough, explain, test and review the Rodecaster Pro II which is the new gold standard for USB mixers. I compare this to the preamp of the Rodecaster Pro 1, demo the processing, test the bluetooth, run an outboard preamp line level, and even record music using the instrument DI. This thing seems to do it all.

How I Setup Microphones For Videos

I thought I would share how I mic up vocals, how I place the mic on my electric guitar, and how I mic up the acoustic guitar. This stems from the fact that someone thought I mic my acoustic up at 2.5 feet, which I don't. So hopefully this clears up any confusion about my microphone placement. Hopefully this we educational for you

Telefunken TF51 Review / Test

Today I review the Telefunken TF51 which is a bright and exciting microphone with a clean mid section and a thicc bottom. This gives a sound that is apparently similar to the ELAM 251. This thing also has one of the lowest self noises I've ever seen on a tube microphone.

Manley Reference Cardioid Review / Test

Today I review the Manley Reference Cardioid, a very popular tube microphone. It's bright, detailed, and articulate, but it unfortunately has a kind of high self noise. If you're in an untreated space the polar pattern will capture the space, but if you're in an awesome sounding room, it will capture that too.
